Eastern League All-Stars

Eastern League All-StarsOutfielder Austin Jackson, RHP Jason Jones, first baseman Chris Malec and catcher P.J. Pilittere of the Trenton Thunder were named to play for the Northern Division All-Stars at the Eastern League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 16th. The mid-summer classic will be played at Stadium in Manchester, NH. This is the first Eastern League All-Star game for all four players.

Austin Jackson, the #2 rated prospect in the New York Yankees Minor League System according to Baseball America, is batting .271 in 80 G with 8 HR and 47 RBI.

Jason Jones is 8-3 with a 2.45 ERA in 15 starts for Trenton this season. He is tied for second in the Eastern League for wins, and third in ERA.

Chris Malec is hitting .291 with 4 HR and 26 RBI in 63 G for the Thunder so far in 2008.

P.J. Pilittere has a .280 BA with a HR and 26 RBI in 61 G for Trenton. He is hitting .329 with RISP.
