RHP Brad Rulon, Georgia Tech University (1040th Overall)The New York Yankees selected Georgia Tech relief pitcher Brad Rulon with its 34th round selection in the 2008 MLB Draft. The right-hander worked as both a setup man and closer for the Yellow Jackets. Rulon finished his collegiate career ranked third in school history with 117 game appearances.

His repertoire consists of a live fastball, a power breaking ball, and a changeup. Brad Rulon averaged better than a strikeout per inning during his career, posting an 11-4 record and 11 saves.

In 2008, Rulon made a team-high 34 appearances, 26 of which were scoreless outings. He had a 3-1 record for the yellow jackets with a 4.15 ERA in 34 appearances all in relief. He struck out 42 in 34.2 innings of work.
