Pat Venditte Debuts for Staten Island

Switch-pitcher Patrick Venditte made his minor league debut last night for Staten Island. Venditte struck out one and allowed a hit in a scoreless inning.

The batter that Venditte struck out was a switch-hitter, which made for some entertaining confusion (or an annoying delay, depending on your point of view) as the umpires tried to sort out which way they were batting and throwing, as both Venditte and the batter kept switching sides.

Very entertaining- would become very tiring if it happened continously however!
